This foundation was not just dreamed up, it was built from the personal journey and real struggles of our founder, Fabio, an immigrant just like you.
Our Story
We born from a vision that took root nearly a decade ago, fueled by hardship, perseverance, and a deep commitment to helping others. The seeds of this dream were planted long before, with Fabio’s grandfather, who at 35 years old left Italy in 1948 to pursue a better future for his family in Brazil. In a twist of fate, Fabio, at the exact same age, embarked on his own journey in 2015, leaving Brazil for the U.S. with his wife and two children. Though separated by decades and continents, both men were driven by the same purpose—to create better opportunities for their loved ones. What began as a personal mission evolved into a much larger calling, and thus, KKEEPER Foundation was brought to life.
The initial plan was simple: to give his family an immersive English-learning experience and fulfill a promise he’d made to his children. As a successful entrepreneur in Brazil, Fabio had built a life driven by hard work, fueled by his Spanish and Italian heritage. But like so many immigrants, he found that navigating the complex and often ruthless U.S. immigration system was more challenging than anticipated.
The Struggles
Fabio’s own experiences with immigration lawyers, agencies, and institutions were far from ideal. Despite his background in law and business, he found it incredibly difficult to secure reliable legal support to “keep” his family’s U.S. status. He spent valuable time and money dealing with dishonest actors who seemed more interested in selling the “American Dream” than helping his family stay safe and legally secure in the U.S.
Every day, Fabio heard new stories of immigrants being taken advantage of—arriving with empty pockets or substantial savings, only to be manipulated by scammers, shady landlords, bad employers, and untrustworthy legal professionals. Fabio realized how polluted the immigration market was and how many immigrant families were getting harmed.
The Fight for Justice
But Fabio didn’t just walk away after resolving his own immigration issues. Seeing firsthand the injustices other families faced, he knew he had to take action. That’s how KKEEPER Foundation was born. Fabio dedicated himself to fighting back against these injustices, ensuring that other immigrants would never have to experience the same struggles he did.
After almost nine years of planning, building, and refining, KKEEPER Foundation is here to stand up for immigrants in the U.S., to keep families safe, and to keep them far from the bad actors that prey on vulnerable people.
